Are your products tested on animals?

We never have and will never test any of our products on animals.

How can I make my soap last longer?

To extend the life of the soaps, ensure that they are kept in a dry and ventilated environment. An easy way to do it is to use our cedar soap dish! Each dish is hand sanded to create a soft elegant look and it is handcrafted in the US.

How can I make my wooden soap dish last longer?

To extend the life of the soap dish, we recommend getting two. After two to three weeks, swap out the dish that is currently being used with your second soap dish. Clean the used dish with a damp cloth and set aside to dry out completely.

There are tiny, white-ish crystals on the wax melt. Is this normal?

This is called blooming or frosting. It is a natural characteristic of soy wax and does not affect the performance of the wax melts. You might see this on our wax melt Snap Bars and Geo Hearts which are made with soy wax.

Can I modify my order?

We are unable to modify an order once it has been placed. If you encounter any order issue, please contact us at with your order number.

How do I use my promotional code?

Promotional codes must be entered manually during checkout in the “Promo code” section. Please ensure the items reflected in the shopping cart is accurate before placing an order. Kindly note that only one discount code can be use at a time and is only valid for one-time use per customer. Discount will be applied before shipping, handling, and tax. Some exclusions may apply. Please note that we will not be able to make any modifications to an order once it has been placed.


Do you ship internationally outside of the US?

Currently, we only ship to the US and are unable to ship to other countries. We hope to ship internationally in the near future.

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping within US on orders over $85.

How long will it take to receive my items?

Currently, we process orders within 2-3 business days of receipt. We currently ship on Mondays through Wednesdays to ensure that the quality of the items you ordered are maintained. If you placed an order on a Thursday or weekend, your order will be shipped between Monday and Wednesday.

Where do you ship from?

All of our products are shipped from Massachusetts. Please keep in mind that transit time varies from location to location.

Do you do local delivery?

We offer local delivery to Newton, Needham and Wellesley areas for a small $5 fee. Please be advised that items will be delivered on Thursdays or Fridays.

Returns and Exchanges

Due to the nature of our products and COVID19, we do not accept returns or exchanges. At The Elchemist, your satisfaction is our top priority. If you experience any issues with your purchase—e.g. product damaged upon arrival—please reach out to us at within seven (7) days of receiving your order. Please note that we cannot process any returns without first being contacted.
